At Cycle Confident we aim to empower people to ride safely and responsibly, and to enjoy riding a bike/cycle.

During COVID-19 outbreak, we must all follow government guidance on how to keep ourselves and others safe from the virus.

I agree to follow in guidance on self-isolating and on social distancing, including guidance on face coverings.

I will inform Cycle Confident if I develop symptoms of COVID-19 within 48 hours of the led ride.

The Instructors/Ride leaders can refuse to allow me to take part or ask me to leave the ride if I am showing signs of COVID-19

I agree to take part in a led ride/Biketrain. I understand that...

It is my responsibility to ensure that my bicycle is roadworthy before attending the ride. If in any doubt concerning this I will consult a qualified Cycle Mechanic.
The Instructor(s)/Ride leaders may refuse to allow to me join the ride if my bicycle is not roadworthy. Their decision is final. I will not be entitled to a refund (if applicable) if the training session cannot proceed due to an unroadworthy bicycle.
Instructors/ride leaders contracted by Cycle Confident Ltd are not obliged to carry out repairs to make an unroadworthy bicycle, roadworthy.
I accept that the Instructors/Ride leaders may at any time refuse to allow me to continue the ride if my behaviour or riding ability level is deemed to be unsuitable and/or unsafe.
I understand that Cycle Confident Ltd is not responsible for any injury or loss or damage to any property not caused by an instructor's negligence.
I understand that if using a bicycle provided to me by my instructor or sponsoring Council I do so at my own risk and that Cycle Confident and the sponsoring Council are not liable for any personal injury or third party injury or property damage caused by my use of the bicycle.
Cycle Confident Ltd takes no responsibility whatsoever for any injury or any loss or damage to any property which occurs either on the way to or from a ride or subsequent rides or lessons.
I understand that having taken part in the ride it does not necessarily follow that it is safe for me to ride a bicycle. To become proficient takes much more practise and training than a ride of this kind can provide.
I am responsible for the decision to wear a helmet during the ride.
If I wear a helmet it must fit properly.
I am responsible for any injury that may occur as a consequence of wearing, or not wearing a helmet.
If I do decide to wear a cycle helmet it will conform to one of the following standards. BS6863, AS2063.86, ANSIZ90.4, SNELL B90 or B95.
I undertake to make the instructors aware of any medical condition I have which may adversely affect the training.
I understand that if bad weather prevents the lesson taking place Cycle Confident may reschedule at no further cost.
I undertake to wear suitable clothing for the prevailing weather conditions expected during my lesson.
Instructors are not at liberty to amend the terms of this consent form.
I understand this consent form must be accepted before a session commences and that I may not participate in a led ride/biketrain if these terms and conditions are not agreed to. This consent form applies to any training/riding organised by Cycle Confident Ltd.

Optional statement:

I understand that occasionally it may be necessary to take images of those undertaking cycle training/riding and that they may be used for publicity purposes.
