Hackney Council and Lime
Very good news to start the new year. Cycle Confident is happy to announce that Hackney residents can now book free cycle training thanks to a partnership between Hackney Council and e-bike cycle hire operator Lime.
Lime is the largest bike-sharing operator in London and the only dockless e-bike scheme in Hackney. The free training has been secured by the Council to train up to 750 adults to level 3 bikeability within the borough. Sessions will support individuals and families to build their skill levels to improve confidence to promote safe cycling behaviour when riding around the borough. The training is for riders of all abilities, helping to improve riding skills to further encourage residents to adopt cycling as a regular mode of transport.
Sessions are FREE to attend, and will last up to 2 hours, delivered by Cycle Confident trained cycle instructors. Sessions will be 1-2-1, or in small groups.
